ReCoMaP Result Area 6
ReCoMaP provides technical expertise, and organises training for the benefit of NSAs, in order to reinforce their capacity in terms of identification, formulation and management of their projects.
CFP1:
The National Focal Points and ReCoMaP’s ICZM Officers have been given training whereby they can provide a helping hand to NSAs in the implementation of their projects.
The NFPs and the ICZM Officers of ReCoMaP have taken part in the several training sessions aimed at increasing their capacity in the financial procedures of the EDF, especially in regards to subsidies and grants. Hence this training has allowed the NFPs and ICZM Officers to be better equipped to monitor the selected projects.
Once trained the NFPs and ICZM Officers were able to bring these skills to the field and share them with the NSAs. This will take place until the final date which is May 2008.
CFP2:
After the information campaign, potential applicants have been identified in each country. In particular their project ideas and the type of training that they will require. This preliminary evaluation allows the ICZM Officers to better target and plan their training schedules for all potential applicants. Once the CFP2 process has been completed and all contracts have been signed. The NICZMOs will contact the successful applicants and conduct a needs assessment.
